On day three of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, athletes made significant progress in their events, with both triumphant victories and heartbreaking eliminations.
Medals were awarded in swimming, fencing, and men’s gymnastics, while competitions continued in basketball, rugby, surfing, volleyball, judo, skateboarding, artistic gymnastics, and synchronized diving. The Olympics officially began in Paris on Friday, July 26, although some team events started on July 24, and will run through Sunday, August 11.

Surfing
The Olympic surfing competition is happening far from Paris, in the big waves at Teahupo’o on the tropical island of Tahiti in French Polynesia.
