Scarlett Johansson Goes On Blind Date With A 12-Year-Old Pittie
We recently arranged a special “Dream Date” for Scarlett Johansson! As a big animal lover, Scarlett was excited to spend the day pampering a shelter dog and helping her find a new home. Her date was with a sweet dog named Ocean, a single mom, and they got along great.
Ocean is a 12-year-old pit bull mix who was rescued from a crowded shelter by Muddy Paws Rescue in New York City. During her day with Scarlett, Ocean enjoyed a spa treatment, a dog-friendly smoothie, a mani-pedi, and plenty of cuddles.
The blind date started on a good note. Scarlett brought a stuffed bouquet of red roses for Ocean, who loved it so much that she eventually tore it apart.
“So far, the date has been going really well with Ocean,” Scarlett told The Dodo. “At first, we were both a little shy and nervous to meet each other, but she warmed up almost immediately. Now, we’re just getting to know each other better.”
This Dream Date is part of our new video series where we match celebrities with rescue dogs on blind dates to help them find loving homes. In the first episode, Antoni Porowski from “Queer Eye” cooked a tasty meal for a pit bull named Clementine, who was adopted soon after!

Scarlett hoped to help Ocean find a family too. “I think you’re going to find a forever home pretty easily,” she said, as Ocean greeted her with face kisses and happy wiggles.
Over the years, Scarlett has rescued two dogs of her own, Maggie and Pancake.
The date was held at the office of Scarlett’s skincare line, The Outset, where Ocean got to enjoy some hydrating, dog-friendly products.
“Everyone at The Outset office is really excited to meet a star,” Scarlett playfully told Ocean.
Scarlett tried to spoil Ocean with a “cucumbers on the eyes” spa moment, but Ocean had her own plans for the cucumbers.
By the end of the date, it was clear they were a perfect match, and Scarlett couldn’t understand why Ocean was still without a family.
I don’t think you’ll have any trouble finding a forever home because you’re incredibly adorable and super cuddly—exactly what everyone’s looking for,” Scarlett told Ocean.
And she was right! Ocean was adopted shortly after their date.
